Tell him I said "yes".
This is somewhat of a post-apocalyptic love story. After all, it did start in 2020. One fateful day in the busy and bustling city of Boca Raton, Sean with his calm, “whatever” demeanor walked into the “home base” bar, The Standard. For imagination purposes, this was post-pandemic. Luckily for these two, masks were strangely worn only to walk into an establishment, so they were able to fully see what each other looked like. Although, surely Sean heard her before he saw her. Brenda, the loud and wild friend, whom our best friend and officiant, Jerica, would soon introduce him to. As everyone at the table discussed their least favorite condiments, Sean caught Brenda’s eye. She noticed he laughed at her jokes (or at least pretended to) which happened to be the way to her heart. As for Sean, Brenda mentioned she enjoyed applesauce… which pretty much sealed the deal for him. From that night, Brenda and Sean went on with their lives.. until. One day, in an effort to get the ball rolling, Brenda impatiently texted Jerica "tell Sean I said yes" with no context. Confused, Jerica relayed the message. Sean didn’t get it… but he got it. That weekend they were on their first date.
Four years, a move-in and a million life changes later, Sean got down on one knee on Longboat Key Beach in front of their two loving families and their matchmaker, Jer. And on the windiest day of November, Brenda said yes once again but this time to a lifetime of laughter, love and applesauce with the love of her life, Sean.
And all of this is just the beginning…
